We recently went to CCB, here in Lisbon, to visit the exhibition No Place Like Home. It presents more than 100 artworks from artists like Marcel Duchamp, Man Ray, Andy Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Takashi Murakami, among others, and celebrates the 101st anniversary of Marcel Duchamp’s Fountain, examining how artists have transformed everyday objects, subverting their domestic functions and meanings. I really enjoyed it, especially the playroom where we find the giant Mr. Dob, an iconic character created by Takashi Murakami, inspired in the Japanese young culture.
Location: CCB, Lisbon. (The exhibition ends in June, so there’s still time to visit it, in case you’re in Lisbon.)
